EXPERIENCE

As a Member of the Indian Administrative Service, worked as:

  a) At the grass roots level, as Collector and District Magistrate, in charge of Law and Order: over-all

        direction of Development in Agriculture, Industry and Community Development.

  b) At the State Secretariat, at the level of Chief Secretary; as Adviser to the Governor during President's

        Rule.

  c) With the Government of India, over a period of 25 years, in eight Ministries including Defence,

        Finance, Industry; as Secretary to Government of India. first in Supply and then in Housing and Urban

        Development.

  d) In the International field, as Leader of Indian Delegation to ESCAP, UNIDO, Asian Productivity

        Organisation and on Joint Commissions in Trade/Industry with European and other Countries.

CURRENT ASSIGNMENTS

1. Chairman, Central Selection Board of NTPC, Power Grid Corporation of India, for recruiting Managers, Engineers, Doctors, etc.
